Dr. Shannon F. Shelley is a graduate of the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She grew up in Crossville, Tennessee and went on to graduate from Tennessee Technological University with a bachelor's degree in Microbiology.
Dr. Shelley is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. The designation - Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) - means that a practitioner has met the high standards of professional competence in a broad range of issues related to eye care.
She is very proud to be a part of the Sparta community.
Dr. Shelley is a doctor of optometry and specializes in complete family eye care. Dr. Shelley also brings a love of children's total eye care needs to the practice.
Dr. Shelley is proudly married to Reverend Dr. Drew Shelley and loves spending time with him and their two children.
Dr. Stephen Mullins graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry in 2007. Dr. Mullins is also a 2003 graduate of Samford University in Birmingham,AL with a degree in Biology.
He is a contributing member of the Tennessee and American Optometric Associations. Dr. Stephen Mullins is the current trustee to the Tennessee Optometric Physicians Society for the Upper Cumberland area.
A native of Cookeville, Dr. Mullins enjoys athletics and outdoor activities. Dr. Mullins and his wife attend The River Community Church and have four children.

Dr. Deanna Apple graduated with honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Optometry in 2012. She is a native of Jackson County where she graduated as the valedictorian from high school in 2003.
Dr. Apple went on to play college basketball at Tennessee Tech University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2007 with a bachelors degree in Health Science Biology.
She is a member of the Upper Cumberland Optometric Physicans Society, Tennessee Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association.
In her free time she enjoys athletic events and church activities. Dr. Apple attends the Pippin Church of Christ here in Cookeville with her family. She is very excited to practice optometry close to home.
Dr. Ralph H. Mullins attended Tennessee Technological University and graduated in 1977 from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Tennessee Optometric Association, and Upper Cumberland Optometric Society. Dr. Mullins is also a member of the Tennessee Academy of Optometry.
He enjoys his four grandchildren and raising Angus cattle. Dr. Mullins and his wife, Shirley, attend First Baptist Church.
Amy Johnson is a licensed optician who has been working for over 40 years. Her father was Dr. Maurice Moore for whom the practice was originally named.
Amy continues the tradition of setting a high standard of patient care and excellence in her role as the head optician.
Tonya Braddom grew up in Sparta, TN and is our optometric technician and has worked at this office since 2010. Tonya is the friendly face who will walk you through your eye examination and get you ready to see the doctor.
She is a wonderful addition to our team at Mullins Vision.
Rhonda Ragland is our billing and insurance specialist. She has worked in optometry practices for many years primarily in the insurance billing/claims area. She is currently in an optician apprenticeship program.
Amber enjoys spending time with her husband and watching her children play sports. She has a total of six kids. What she loves about working at Mullins Vision is seeing people's reactions when they get their first pair of glasses. She says that there is so much joy and excitement in that moment!
Tiffany has been a part of our team for five years. She graduated from the Optician program at Roane State in 2014. Tiffany enjoys helping people pick out glasses and learn how to use contacts. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three cats. They love to travel and explore new places.
