Dr. Rachel Wakefield graduated from Tennessee Tech University in 2016 and from Southern College of Optometry in 2020. Dr. Wakefield is a native of Lafayette, TN where she attends Willette Missionary Baptist Church. Dr. Wakefield is a member of the Lions Club, American Optometric Association, and the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians. In her free time she likes to hike and paddle board.

Dr. Stephen Mullins graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry in 2007. Dr. Mullins is also a 2003 graduate of Samford University in Birmingham,AL with a degree in Biology.
He is a contributing member of the Tennessee and American Optometric Associations. Dr. Stephen Mullins is the current trustee to the Tennessee Optometric Physicians Society for the Upper Cumberland area.
A native of Cookeville, Dr. Mullins enjoys athletics and outdoor activities. Dr. Mullins and his wife attend The River Community Church and have four children.

Dr. Deanna Apple graduated with honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Optometry in 2012. She is a native of Jackson County where she graduated as the valedictorian from high school in 2003.
Dr. Apple went on to play college basketball at Tennessee Tech University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2007 with a bachelors degree in Health Science Biology.
She is a member of the Upper Cumberland Optometric Physicans Society, Tennessee Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association.
In her free time she enjoys athletic events and church activities. Dr. Apple attends the Pippin Church of Christ here in Cookeville with her family. She is very excited to practice optometry close to home.
Dr. Ralph H. Mullins attended Tennessee Technological University and graduated in 1977 from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Tennessee Optometric Association, and Upper Cumberland Optometric Society. Dr. Mullins is also a member of the Tennessee Academy of Optometry.
He enjoys his four grandchildren and raising Angus cattle. Dr. Mullins and his wife, Shirley, attend First Baptist Church.
Amy Johnson is a licensed optician who has been working for over 40 years. Her father was Dr. Maurice Moore for whom the practice was originally named.
Amy continues the tradition of setting a high standard of patient care and excellence in her role as the head optician.
Tonya Braddom grew up in Sparta, TN and is our optometric technician and has worked at this office since 2010. Tonya is the friendly face who will walk you through your eye examination and get you ready to see the doctor.
She is a wonderful addition to our team at Mullins Vision.
Rhonda Ragland is our billing and insurance specialist. She has worked in optometry practices for many years primarily in the insurance billing/claims area. She is currently in an optician apprenticeship program.
Chastity Ford enjoys art and traveling in her spare time. Chastity loves meeting new people and she can’t wait to greet you!
Mary Jones loves spending time with her big family, hiking, running, cycling, and anything outdoors. What Mary loves about Mullins Vision is the family friendly atmosphere.
